THUMBWAR™ was founded in 2008 by Brian Carr and David Vottero.
THUMBWAR co-founders David Vottero and Brian Carr have been working together for over two decades. Brian is a multitalented engineer and technical problem solver, coming from systems design and project management with a background as a broadcast technician; David is a visionary creative director and producer with a background in broadcast television. Together, they created THUMBWAR - a meeting of the technical and creative minds.
Brian Carr,
FOUNDING PARTNER
Brian has a background in Television Production and Project Management, and worked as a freelance Broadcast Technician before starting THUMBWAR™. Brian focuses on developing and executing our Live Broadcast Events and Workflow projects. Brian also leads the effort in growing and cultivating new business with our broadcast clients.
David Vottero,

David began his career working in television production, later pivoting to focus on work as a Producer and Creative Director. David acts as Project lead for our Creative Projects, our Software Development team and spearheads our Sales & Integration projects. David also manages THUMBWAR’s day-to-day finances and business development.
Trevor Carlson,
VP ENGINEERING
Trevor has a background in I.T. consulting, with a focus on technology that supports creative workflows. In addition to leading support at broadcast events, Trevor spearheads our research and development for new technologies, equipment, and workflows. Trevor also manages our remote Service & Support as well as leads our Pre-Sale Engineering for our integration projects.
In addition to our core team we have a full-time staff consisting of engineers, project managers, developers, and creatives to make your project come to life.
