WORK FROM HOME MEETS PRODUCTION
Several years before the current health crisis, THUMBWAR™ deployed our first solution to allow editors and producers to avoid traveling to location and edit remotely for live sports productions. Since then, we have refined our toolset and offer a number remote workflow solutions based on industry leading technologies.
Our remote workflow tools allow customers to work remotely and securely from any location. We can deploy a solution at your remote production location, at your office headquarters using existing infrastructure, in an intermediary data center — or any combination thereof.
THUMBWAR™ provides VDI offerings at any scale (that’s “Virtual desktop infrastructure” if we’re getting geeky) — including our own servers that are pre-configured and can drop-into your existing infrastructure. We can deploy our own turnkey rental servers in a moment’s notice and completely remove the typical long-lead standup time for enterprise solutions.
For customers ready to own, THUMBWAR™ resells and integrates VDI hardware, software and end points and can help stand up the entire production pipeline on top of virtual desktop infrastructure.
Our remote edit product combines our own custom software with Teradici CloudAccess+, VMWare, and NVIDIA GRID. These powerful enterprise tools can be online in your environment in less than a day.
Media asset managers have traditionally been very expensive and huge lifts to deploy in any sized organization. We have turned that concept on its head with our installations of a media manager called iconik.
Built on world class infrastructure and latest web frameworks — iconik is fast, always on, cloud-based, and visually appealing for creative users. It’s also built around instant stand-up and pay-as-you-go pricing.
THUMBWAR™ can make your work from home and hybrid workflows a reality using iconik and taking advantage of the well implemented API with our custom implementations. We’ve taken a powerful tool and made it even better with our custom iconik Slack notification and desktop uploader. We can also help push existing proxy formats into iconik, with out desktop uploader. Bring your existing proxies or RED workflows into inconik.

BACKUP
We’re evangelists for having multiple copies of your data. Whether that backup is happening on-site with near-line NAS storage or LTO tape — or off-site in S3, Azure, or a custom solution — we have deployed them all. We have found B2 by Backblaze to be an extremely cost effective and flexible off-site backup solution for our clients.
At the core of our backup solutions is P5 by Archiware. P5 is a media focused, easy to use data lifecycle management tool. Tape, Disk, Cloud can all be managed from a single interface.
THUMBWAR™ integrates P5 into customers of any size, from a single tape drive with archive previews to massive 500 slot tape libraries and endless object based cloud storage.

THUMBWAR™ continues to own, sell, rent, and deploy many different shared storage solutions. We’d love to talk to you and figure out the right solution for your project.
The products we love to recommend to our customers are the products we love to use ourselves. Currently, our favorite storage solution is OpenDrives. We’re a reseller, integrator and end-user of OpenDrives — and you’ll find us using it at our high-end, marquee broadcasts for our network clients.
